Wedderburn Tourism

Wedderburn Tourism Inc is a voluntary committee that is positive and active. The main interest of this organisation is to build on opportunities for Wedderburn and the surrounding communities. If you were looking to meet new people and find out what is happening in this community please come and join us, we would be happy to have you participating in our very worthwhile group.

This group meets every third Thursday of the month at the Wedderburn Korong Historical Society, 26 High Street, Wedderburn, at 7.30pm.

Since 1999 this organisation has been raising funds to develop a Tourist attraction for Wedderburn known as Hard Hill Tourist Reserve. You can see pictures of the Reserve by clicking on the link which takes you to the gallery pages of this site. In the gallery, you will find many interesting tourism aspects of Wedderburn.

This reserve is in a unique bush setting close to the Wedderburn township. There is a working eucalyptus Stew Pot, a walkway up to an old gold mine from the diggings days, Gold Puddler and Wedderburn’s originally Gold Stamper Battery. Each site has an information board detailing the story of each feature as it was in days gone by. A sheltered picnic area with wood barbeques area available. This area is open to the public at all times.
