Welcome to the Wedderburn Community web pages.

Located only 225 km from Melbourne, Victoria, Wedderburn's thriving little community offers the visitor a travel experience with a difference.

Steeped in the history of the old goldfields, you can fossick for some of the precious metal in the old diggings on public land surrounding the town. Perhaps a walk through the bush enjoying the peace and tranquility amongst the box and ironbark trees. The bush abounds with native flora and fauna there are also plenty of kangaroos and wallabies to be seen. You may even catch a glimpse of the shy echidna.

Using Wedderburn as a base, you will find friendly country pubs, boutique wineries, areas of historical and cultural significance, fishing and bird watching all within easy reach.

For those tired of travelling or perhaps looking for a change, Wedderburn offers a relaxed country lifestyle at affordable prices. The town has an excellent range of services including kindergarten, primary and secondary college, doctor, senior citizens, sporting clubs, interest groups and a shopping centre to supply a wide range of goods and services.
