Cabinet Maker

With the recent retirement of a resident cabinet maker, an opportunity exists for a cabinet maker to establish a business servicing Wedderburn and district.

Plumber/Gasfitter

Sewerage has recently been connected to Wedderburn and notices have been sent out in mid March 2005 that residents are now able to connect their properties to the scheme. There are presently no plumbers resident in Wedderburn. A great opportunity here to establish a strong business in the town and servicing the surrounding rural community with their plumbing needs.

White Goods Mechanic/Serviceman

Our local serviceman has retired and residents currently have to take their white goods to Bendigo for service and repair. An opportunity exists to establish a business to service the Wedderburn and district communities.

Motor Mechanic

Ill health has recently forced one of our automotive repair businesses to close down. The area has supported two automotive repair businesses for sometime now, so there is obviously a need for a second business in the town to service the local community.

Bricklayer

Wedderburn does not have a resident bricklayer. Bricklaying work is presently been contracted out to businesses in other towns.

Odd Jobs/Handyman

Wedderburn currently has a business providing these types of services to the area, but he can’t keep up with demand. With many older type residences and an aging community, there should always be those odd jobs around the place that require someone with a good level of practical skills in a broad area.
